In about 1657, Johannes Vermeer painted a famous depiction of a woman pouring milk from a jug. It is a classic example of the naturalistic, slice-of-life feeling for which he and his era are so famous in art history. In the background, near the floor, are four half visible Delft tiles in blue and white of a cupid and a man holding a pole. This set is an ode to that painting and the beautiful detailed tiles it includes.
